The First Christmas

Discover the history of the first Christmas celebration in the Cherokee Nation in this perennial exhibit inspired by a small gathering in 1805. The exhibit includes an interpretation of a Christmas tree and decorations in the Moravian Christian tradition introduced by missionaries more than two centuries ago.
