Brenda Blanche Crazy Thunder, 72 of Claremore, Oklahoma, passed away on July 27th, 2026 surrounded by loved ones. She was a loving matriarch, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Brenda will be greatly missed.
Brenda Crazy Thunder was born on February 12th, 1954 in Claremore, Oklahoma. She was proud Oglala Lakota and Cherokee Nation Citizen. She was baptized at St. Cecilia Church in Claremore, Oklahoma.
Brenda proudly graduated from Rogers State College in 1986 with a degree in nursing.
Brenda loved to feed the community and everyone always knew where to find a meal. She also encouraged members of her community to find sobriety. She would frequently help community members find rehabilitation centers and find employment after. Brenda was passionate about making sure her children and grandchildren remained connected to their cultural ways.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Emma CrazyThunder, her father, Glenn Henson, and nephew, Ronnie CrazyThunder.
She is survived by her children; Tammy Hinds, Robert Randolph, and Amanda Glaze; her siblings; Karen CrazyThunder, Sara CrazyThunder, and Glen Henson Jr.; nieces and nephews, Richard Burdyn, Kim Burdyn, William Miller, Sydney Miller, and Jonathon Henson; grandchildren, Cheyenna Morgan, Bradley Hinds, Ashley Hinds, Summer Cook, Drake Carter, Eli Randolph and Alex Randolph; great grandchildren, Arius Morgan, Emma Hinds, Honor Hinds, Phoenix Hinds, Aaliyah Cook, Promise Sanders, and Cassian Cook.
Services will be held at Rice Funeral Service in Claremore, Oklahoma at 2pm on Wednesday, August 5th, 2026 with dinner to be held after at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church in Claremore, Oklahoma.
