Kelly Wayne Fields was born July 17, 1970, in Claremore, OK to John Lawrence Fields and Cloma Laurie (Sam) Shelton. He passed away July 1, 2026, in Tulsa, OK just a few weeks shy of his 56th birthday. Kelly lived a life rooted in hard work, deep cultural pride, and an unwavering generosity toward others. For many years, he worked as a dedicated truck and forklift driver. He was known by his colleagues as a hardworking man who always kept things moving and brought an uplifting energy to the job every day. Family was the cornerstone of Kelly’s life. He shared a special, foundational bond with his parents; later in life, he could often be found side-by-side with his dad, getting his hands dirty and learning the ropes while working on cars. Kelly showed the true depth of his character and love by serving as the caretaker for his mother during her final years, ensuring she was comforted and cared for with the utmost dignity. To know Kelly was to know a man who would give you the shirt off his back. He frequently was found lending his skills to anyone in need whenever he was able. He asked for nothing in return; helping others was simply who he was. Beyond his immediate family, Kelly loved nothing more than spending quality time with his friends. Whether he was trying his luck on regular trips to the casino, sharing a laugh, or hunting down a rare find to add to his cherished coin collection, Kelly knew how to appreciate the simple pleasures of life. Kelly’s kindness, humor, and generous spirit will be deeply missed by his family, his neighbors, and the many friends who were fortunate enough to cross his path.
