Marilyn Sue Williams, 61, of Salina, Oklahoma, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at her home. She was born on June 10, 1965, in Claremore, Oklahoma, to Flossie Smith.
Marilyn graduated from Salina High School in 1983. She dedicated 30 years of her life to serving others through her work in dispatch and as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). Throughout her career, she worked for MESTA, Pafford, Mayes County 911, Oologah EMS, and Craig General EMS. Her years of service reflected her caring heart, dedication, and willingness to help others in their times of need. One of her proudest accomplishments was receiving the prestigious Star of Life Award in Washington, D.C., where she was honored by senators and congressmen for her outstanding service and dedication to emergency medical services. Throughout her career, she formed countless friendships and touched the lives of many coworkers, patients, and members of the communities she served.
Marilyn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who never met a stranger. She had a wonderful circle of friends and loved spending time with them, sharing laughter, making memories, and singing karaoke. One of her greatest joys was attending her grandchildren’s sporting events, where she could always be found cheering them on. Her love and support extended far beyond her own family, as she also enjoyed attending the sporting events and activities of her coworkers’ children. Affectionately known as “Mimi” to many children and “Mom” to countless others who were not her own, Marilyn had a special way of making everyone feel loved, welcomed, and part of her family.
Marilyn had an incredibly generous heart and found great happiness in giving to others. She loved to shop, especially for shoes and purses, and could always find a reason to bring home something new. However, her shopping trips were rarely just for herself. She was always picking up gifts and thoughtful surprises for family, friends, and anyone she thought could use a little something special. Giving was simply part of who she was, and she never missed an opportunity to brighten someone’s day.
Marilyn also had a love for adventure and traveling on the Harley with her husband, Rob. Together, they traveled across the country, visiting so many places that there weren’t many states they missed along the way. They shared a love for the open road, enjoying the freedom of riding, discovering new places, and making unforgettable memories together. Those miles traveled and adventures shared were some of the special moments they cherished as husband and wife.
